Luke Dembosky co-chairs Debevoise & Plimpton’s global Data Strategy & Security practice and is recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers, The Legal 500, and the National Law Journal.  He joined Debevoise in 2016 after 14 years specializing in cyber matters for the Justice Department, including serving as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for National Security where he oversaw DOJ’s first national security cyber portfolio; Deputy Chief at the Computer Crime Section; DOJ representative at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia; and as a cybercrimes prosecutor.  He led many of DOJ’s landmark cyber investigations and co-represented it in cyber negotiations with Russia and China.
